EASA representative clarified the agency’s position when asked to comment about crucial issues during a panel of stakeholders of the European business aviation industry during the EBACE conference last month.

The EASA representative confirmed that an extension to the August 26th 2016 deadline will  not be considered. However, the acceptance of recognized industry standards for use as an Acceptable Mean of Compliance has been generically formulated, paving the way for IS-BAO as an ACM for Part-NCC compliance. Compliance requirements with foreign registries that already fully comply with ICAO Annex 6, Part II will be eased to to avoid unnecessary duplication of documentation and paperwork.
